ST COLUMBA NEW CHURCH.
BROUGHTON MOOR.

With a view to augmenting the funds for the new church of St Columba, in
course of erection at Broughton Moor, a concert was held in the Mission Room,
Wyndham Row, on Wednesday evening. There was a fairly good company present. Mrs
Lloyd WILSON, who presided, introduced the performers alluding in graceful
language to the worthiness of the object and wishing the new choir every success.
The following programme was rendered by members of the Netherton Church
choir, with Mr Wm TODD, the conductor, as accompanist:

Harmonium Solo .... Mr TODD
[Songs by -}
Mrs STEELE, Mr CLAPHAM, Mr TODD, Miss JOHNSTON, Miss HUGHES, Mr COTTIER, Rev
I STEELE.

The various pieces were rendered in a highly creditable manner, and reflected
great credit on the respective performers.

Mr Lloyd WILSON moved a vote of thanks to the party for the able and
delightful way in which they had entertained the Broughton Moor people, and referred
them to the readiness of the Netherton choir to help them.

Mr Wm THOMPSON, Stone House, seconded the motion, which was most
enthusiastically adopted. - The Rev I STEELE acknowledged the compliment. - The choir were
afterward hospitably entertained by the Broughton Moor friends.
