SIR HENRY TUFTON AND HIS TENANTRY.   We are informed that very recently Sir Henry TUFTON, Bart., the gentleman who has consented to contest one of the seats for Westmorland at the general election, forwarded  to a number of his Westmorland tenantry a notice to the effect that they will not be permitted to shoot ground game upon their farms, as they have hitherto done.   - Penrith Observer.   _________     RADICALISM IN WEST CUMBERLAND.   A meeting of the Liberal Party was held at Parton on Monday. The Rev. Mr. WANDLASS presided, and the meeting was addressed by Mr. John SINCLAIR, Mr. Thomas THOMPSON, Mr. James JACKSON, and other persons.   _________     JERSEY CATTLE AT THE LONDON ROYAL SHOW.   We have it on the authority of Mr. John THORNTON that so gratified were the native breeders with the remarks written by Mr. T. BOWSTEAD, and published in the last number of the Royal Agricultural Society’s Journal, on the magnificent display of Jersey cattle exhibited at Kilburn, that they caused the same to be copied verbatim into a similar journal published in the Island.   _______   ANNAN.   A great agricultural gathering took place here on Tuesday, on the occasion of a public dinner to Mr. GORDON of Comlongan Mains, the delegate from Lower Annandale to Canada.   ______________________   LIVERPOOL ELECTION.   The excitement in Liverpool last night was intense. Sir W. HARCOURT addressed a Liberal meeting and sought to show the complicity of the Conservatives with Home Rule.   A Home Rule demonstration, headed by Mr. FINNIGAN, M. P., paraded the streets till midnight. Excited  outdoor meetings on both sides were held into this morning. The Conservatives say they will win by 1,000; and the Liberals say they will win by 2,000.   Helpers have arrived for the Liberals in large numbers from London, Manchester, and other towns.   __________     THE RADICAL FEDERATION.   The annual conference of the National Liberal Federation was held on Tuesday at Darlington. Mr. CHAMBERLAIN, M. P., presided.   __________     MR. COWEN’S SPEECH.   The speech delivered at Newcastle by Mr. COWEN, M. P., is being printed by Mr. S. HAYES, of 199 Regent Street, who states that he has ordered an edition of 100,000 copies, to be sold at 1d each.
