On Friday night, the St. Petersburg police made a raid on a house in that city, and were fired upon by the inmates, three men and two women. These however, with the exception of one man who committed suicide, were secured, and it was then discovered that the house contained a press for the printing of Nihilist literature.

On Sunday another revolutionary proclamation, issued by students of the Russian High Schools, made it’s appearance at Petersburg. In it they complain of the manner in which they are oppressed, and demand educational reform and freedom.
