A ball was held at the Queen’s Hotel, on Wednesday evening last, at the invitation of Mr. George TORDIFF, Wolsty Stags; Mr. R. PEAT, Lees House, Silloth; and Mr. SAUL, The Tarns, Abbey Town.

There were about 120 invitations issued, and about 90 accepted and were present. Mr. SCOTT’s Quadrille Band from Carlisle supplied the music.
