THOMAS NEAL, labourer, of Fenton, near Hanley, went home drunk on Christmas morning. His wife upbraided him, and reminded him that he had a child dead in the house. Another child, three years of age, then began to cry, whereupon he stuck it with his fist so severely as to cause its instant death. Neal has been apprehended. |
