Lieutenant Colonel HIGGINS

On Wednesday last, Lieutenant Colonel HIGGINS, R. H. A., recently returned from Syria, passed through this city, en route for Dublin, with two six pounders and the usual complement of men.  He proceeded to Port Carlisle, where, with the detachment under his command, he embarked for his destination on board the Royal Victoria steamer, which was specially chartered for the conveyance of troops on the occasion.
