No fatal cases have as yet, occurred, and those affected are now improving. It spares neither age nor sex. ____ "Tommy DOBSON is just now giving tangible proof of his presence this season, with more favourable weather. Last Thursday he succeeded in killing two cubs, with the bitch in hole as well, while a dog-fox beat a hasty retreat across the Bleaberry Bield, just beyond the crag. During the weekend accompanied by Messrs. J. BIRD, H. THOMPSON, T. WEIGHMAN, &c., "Tommy" made for Todholes, Gillerthwaite, where he also killed one of each sex, and another cub. They had evidently been enjoying a lamb diet. ____ Fishing is now fairly under weigh, the best take (13 trout) being obtained by Mr. WILSON, from Moresby. ****** |
