On Tuesday evening the members of the Mother’s Union  presented Miss. EWBANK with a beautiful needlework cabinet, suitably inscribed  and a cut glass bowl as a token of esteem and regard on the occasion of her  marriage to the Rev. M. HODGES, Rector of Loweswater, which takes place at  Boltongate on June 15th.

Mrs. BOUNDY, Routenbeck, who celebrated her diamond  wedding two years ago, made the presentation wishing Miss. EWBANK every  happiness and a long happy life like her own.

Mrs. GIBSON, Wythop Mill, a member of the Union for  nearly fifty years, also said a few words, to which Miss. EWBANK suitably  returned thanks as also did  Mrs. EWBANK, who is a gifted  speaker.

Afterwards all the members were entertained to tea by  Mrs. EWBANK.
