WOOD FOR SALE.
A Considerable Quantity of Timber and other woods, will be sold by ticket, at the King's Arms Inn, in Ravenglass, on Wednesday the 27th day of October, 1813, in the afternoon of that Day, growing in the Parish of Muncaster; consisting of Oak, Ash, Sycamore, &c. A part of the Oak is fit for ship building, as the youngest growth is about sixty years; - and the woods lie adjoining to an excellent Shipping Place, where vessels may load, which will have land, carriage, &c. Messrs. TAYLOR or BIBBY, at Muncaster Castle, will shew the woods; - And further particulars may be known, by application to Mr. ATKINSON; there. And at the same time and place, will also be sold by ticket, all the Coppice Wood, growing in Broad Oak Gill, above the Mill, in Birkby; - And also all the Coppice Wood growing in the Coppices at Langley Park, known by the names of She Myers and Caddy Croft, Little Wood, &c. N. B. The Farmers of Broad Oak and Langley Park, will shew the Coppices on their respective farms, &c. ****** HUSBANDMEN WANTED: Two men, who have been accustomed to the Husbandry of the Neighbourhood, and will be careful amongst Cattle, and in Feeding Horses, will be victualled and lodged in the Farm House, and will be treated with on fair Terms, for Wages Half Yearly. A certificate will be required from their last servitude. Apply to Mr. John FOSTER, Stationer, Workington. N. B. - The situation is near Workington. ****** Only One Day To Draw The State Lottery has one more day to draw, and the wheel is uncommonly Rich, there being yet to draw Two Prizes of £20,000 Besides 21 other Capital prizes of £1,000, £500, £200., and £100, and the full Proportion of £50, £25, and £20 Prizes, all of which must be drawn in one day, viz. Tuesday, September 28th. A few Tickets and Shares, warranted undrawn, may be had of the Agents. ****** |
