  THE LATE MR. FISHER.
  Some time ago we stated that the Maryport and District Teachers' Association were taking steps towards raising a sum of money for the widow and the family of the late Mr. FISHER, sometime master of the Broughton Board school. We have been asked by the committee of the Association to bring this matter before our readers, and it is with pleasure that we do so, feeling sure that the circumstances attending Mr. FISHER's death will create a feeling of general sympathy with his widow, and that many may be inclined to support what we consider to be a most worthy appeal. We shall be very glad to receive subscriptions. The following have been paid in: -
