SCHOOL. - Whitehaven.

MR. JACKSON (Pupil to the late Rev. Mr. BARNES, of St. Bees) respectfully
informs the Public, - that he has reopened the SCHOOL taught by the Rev. Mr.
DA??ON, deceased; where he purposes teaching the English Language,
gramatically; the Classics; Writing, Arithmetic, and the usual Branches of
the Mathematics.

The School is situate in an airy and healthy Part of Scotch Street. The
Number of Scholars will be limited; to whose Improvement every Attention
will be paid; - and Terms and other Particulars may be known, by applying at
the School Room, or at Mr. ATKINSON's, in Scotch Street aforesaid.

There is a vertical crease running through most of these adverts, resulting
in one or two missing letters in each line. Except for the name of the
deceased reverend in the last advert, it was possible to work out which
letters were missing.
