Bridgefoot and Stainburn TOLLS.

NOTICE is hereby Given, That the Tolls arising at the Toll Gates, upon the
Turnpike Road, leading from Cockermouth, in the County of Cumberland, to
Workington, in the said County, called, or known by the several and
respective Names of BRIDGEFOOT and STAINBURN Gates, will be separately LET,
by Auction, to the best Bidder, at the House of Joseph PEARSON, Innholder,
situate at Broughton Cross, in the said County, on FRIDAY the Sixth Day of
March, 1812, between the Hours of Two and Four o'Clock in the Afternoon, in
the Manner directed by an Act passed in the 13th Year of the Reign of his
Majesty King George the Third, "for regulating the Turnpike Roads." Which
Tolls were Let the last Year for the several Sums following, viz.

The Tolls of Bridgefoot Gate, for £ 180 2 0
And the Tolls of Stainburn Gate, for £ 45 3 0

And will be put up at those Sums.

Whoever happens to be the best Bidder, must at the same Time give Security
with sufficient Sureties, to the Satisfaction of the Trustees of the said
Turnpike Road, for Payment of the Rents agreed for, and at such Times as
they shall direct.

Threapland Inclosure.

TO be SOLD, by Public Auction, on MONDAY the 6th of April, 1812, at
Cockbridge Inn, in the County of Cumberland, at Six o'Clock in the Evening,
(by Order of the COMMISSIONERS under the Threapland Inclosure Act)

A Parcel of Common Ground,

Situate upon and Part of the Common and Waste in the Manor of Threapland, in
the County of Cumberland, directed to be enclosed by the said Act;
containing in the Whole, by Admeasurement, 106A. 1R. or thereabouts, and
which will be offered for Sale Together, and in the Two following Lots, viz.

Lot 1. Containing 44 Acres, as the same is now marked and set out, bounded
by the Rev. JOHN FENTON's Tithe Allotment, on the East; by Lot 2d, on the
West; by the public Road leading from Threapland to Sunderland, on the
North; and by a Close, or Parcel of Ground, of THOMAS LAWSON, Esq. called
Salkeld Close, on the South.

Lot 2. Containing 62A. 1R. bounded by Lot 1st, on the East; by the
undivided Common of Threapland on the West; by the said Road from Threapland
to Sunderland, on the North; and by Blindcrake Far Close, on the South.

The Whole is well watered, contains plenty of excellent Limestone, and is
within Four Miles of Coal.

Mr. JONATHAN WILKINSON, of Sunderland, will shew the Premises, and has a
Plan thereof.

Further Particulars may be known, in the mean Time, by applying to Mr.
RICHARD ATKINSON, of Bassenthwaite Halls, or Mr. JOHN NORMAN, of Kirk
Andrews upon Eden, the Commissioners; or at the Office of Messrs. STEEL and
SON, Solicitors in Cockermouth, with whom a PLAN of the Common, intended to
be Sold, is left for Inspection. [7]
