The Cumberland Pacquet - 25 Feb 1812
The following addition to the advertisement of the Premises of the Black
Lion Inn was received too late for insertion in the proper place -- "The
Premises, in Strand Street, extend in Front to the said Street 46 Feet, and
backwards 73 Feet. -- The Stables contain 23 Stalls for Horses; there are
also a commodious Coach House, and other Conveniences. This Lot is
particularly eligible for a Liquor Merchant, having a Cellar on one Side, 16
Feet wide; and extending from Strand Street the whole Length of the Lot,
viz. 73 Feet."

Black Lion Inn, Whitehaven

TO be SOLD, by Public Auction, upon the Premises, on MONDAY the 2d of March,
1812, at Seven o'Clock in the Evening,

All that large, commodious, and well-accustomed INN, known by the Name of

The BLACK LION,

Now occupied by Mr. PHILLIPS; situate in King-Street and Strand-Street, in
the Town of WHITEHAVEN; with the Stables, Coach House, and other
Conveniences belonging to the same.

The Purchaser to pay a Deposit of Ten per Cent. and the Remainder of the
Purchase Money at Whitsuntide next; and to enter into Possession at Lady Day
first.

Particulars may be known, by applying to Messrs. ADAMSON and PERRY,
Solicitors.

The LAND TAX is redeemed.
