OLD SCHOLAR’S  ASSOCIATION.

For a few years it seems the old scholars of the  Workington County
Technical
and Secondary School have not taken the interest in  their Association that
they might have done. The annual meeting was held in the  school recently,
and
the question of extending the activities of the Association  was considered.
The suggestion of the formation of a Dramatic Society would be  likely to
appeal to a good many of the old scholars met with approval, and it  was
ultimately
decided that a further meeting be called to consider the  question.

At that meeting it was unanimously decided that such a  society be formed,
and a further meeting of old scholars interested will be held  in the school
on
December 7th.

Mr. R. E. HUNT, Workington, was appointed Secretary to  the Association, and
for the convenience of the old scholars it was decided to  appoint assistant
secretaries, in addition to the two members of the Council,  for the
Cockermouth, Maryport and Workington areas.

Miss. Kitty BELL was appointed secretary and Miss.  Ruth SMITH and Mr. R.
BOUSTEAD members of the council for the Cockermouth area.  Either will be
pleased
to give any information to the  scholars.
