HAYTON. Hayton Women’s Unionist Association have arranged to hold a whist drive and dance on December 14th. ****** PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH, FLIMBY. A concert was given in the Primitive Methodist Church by the Excelsior Quartette Party. There was a large audience present. Mr. J. HENDERSON (sp? Blurred), Siddick, was chairman and gave a suitable address. The artistes gave an admirable programme which was much enjoyed. A pie supper was afterwards partaken of. ****** SHOW OF HOMERS AT MARYPORT. The Maryport and District Homing Society’s weekly show on Saturday night, was for likeliest old cocks, 44 of which were entered. Mr. J. SIMPSON of Ellenborough, awarded prizes to the following: - 1. J. LEWIS, Maryport 2. E. WINDSOR, Grasslot. 3. MESSENGER and MILLIGAN, Maryport. Res., J. LEWIS v.h.c., D. CUETO, Maryport h.c., J. SANDHAM, Dearham C., DIXON and JACKSON, Workington. |
