Mr. Geo. W. DIXON, B. A.,  Waterhead House,  Seascale, left on Wednesday en
route for Australia. He expects to be ordained by  the Bishop of Adelaide.


Mr. G. W. DIXON is an old scholar of Seascale Day and  Whitehaven Secondary
School. In 1917 he joined the army, starting as a band boy  in the 2/8th
Worcester Regiment. He saw active service in France, and was  demobilized in
1919.
He studied privately and determined to enter the  ministry.


Having obtained a Richard Taylor Exhibition he entered  Keble College,
Oxford, and matriculated, taking his B. A. when 21 years of  age.


He intends to join the Australian Bush Brotherhood,  and after serving in
the
ministry, in accordance with the condition of the  Taylor Exhibition, he
will
serve for a certain time in the Diocese of  Carlisle.
