POLICE COURT
WIGTON - TUESDAY.
(Before E.  FIDLER, Esq.)

DISOBEYING ORDERS
AT THE WORKHOUSE

Joseph HEWITSON, an inmate of the workhouse at Wigton, was charged with  
disobeying orders in the house.

Miss. LOWTHER (the assistant matron) proved the offence.

Defendant had been making a noise in the dining room, and when ordered out,  
refused to leave. This being his second offence he was sent to gaol for thirty
 days.
