21 Nov. 1928 Frizington's Remarkable Health Print E-mail
Dr. ROBERTSON, of Cleator, the Medical Officer of  Health for Arlecdon and
Frizington, reports that during the last month there  were seven births (three
male and four female) giving a rate of 18.5 per  thousand.

There was only one death during the period, a child of  two months, who died
from gas enteritis. That showed a rate of 2.65 per  thousand.

During the period there were four cases of diptheria  and three cases of
tuberculosis of the lungs, the former all being removed to  Galemire
Hospital.

The Health Committee minutes of the Council were  adopted on Friday night on
the motion of Mr. Walter WATSON, who, in dealing with  the continued
satisfactory health of the district, said it was remarkable that  there was
only one
death in that period.
