Col. J. H. DUDGEON, New Chariman of Workington Magistrates

Col. J. H. DUDGEON was unanimously elected to the chair of the Workington Bench of magistrates,
in the place of the late Mr. R. E. HIGHTON, on Wednesday.

Mr. R. H. HODGSON, a retired chairman, said he knew Col. DUDGEON would fill the position with
great success.

Mr. J. N. ST. GEORGE, Curwen, offered congratulations to Col. DUDGEON on behalf of his fellow
practiontioners and hoped that the new chairman would long occupy that position.

Supt. RITCHIE also congratulated Col DUDGEON on behalf of the police.
