MARGARET CALLAGHAN, married, was charged with assaulting ADELAIDE JACKSON, on the 12th inst.  The parties live in Back Henry Street, and on the night of the 12th inst. some disturbance arose.  The complainant was attacked by the defendant who used a "copy" as a weapon.  The complainant received a severe wound on her head and also had her left eye severely bruised.  Defendant was fined 30s. including costs.

MARY ROONEY a disorderly character, was fined 25s including costs, for being drunk and disorderly on the Quay on the 18th inst.
