[ We have received the following as an advertisement from MR. JOSEPH ALLISON - Ed. ]
I CHALLENGE EDWARD ATTER, SOLICITOR, WHITEHAVEN, to prove one sentence he uttered against me on Wednesday last, or that a pipe has entered my mouth or an oath come out of it - much less guilty of anything approaching crime, since I came to Workington four years and seven months ago. Or that I had other object in view than the protection of my home and children.
Yours, &c.
JOSEPH ALLISON,
13, FALCON-STREET,
WORKINGTON.
JULY 11TH, 1888.
