Deaths.

At the Spring Gardens, on the 5th instant, Joseph James, youngest son of John and Sarah CARRUTHERS, aged six months; and, on the 26th, Ann, eldest daughter of the above, aged eight years.

In English Street, on the 23rd instant, Hannah COULTHARD, aged 41 years: many years a most faithful servant with Mr. DOBINSON.

In Head's Lane, since our last, Mr. John LITTLE, aged 80 years.

In Botchergate, Mrs. Mary MURPHY, aged 39 years.

In the Castle, since our last, William ALLAN, Private in the 23rd Regiment of Foot, aged 26 years.

On the 23rd instant, in his 67th year, Mr. John SCOTT, of London, and formerly of Woodside, near Carlisle.

At Kirkland, in the parish of Wigton, on Wednesday last, Mr. Thomas BOUCH, farmer, aged 68 years.

At Crookdake, in the parish of Bromfield, on the 19th inst., after a few hours illness, Elizabeth PATTINSON, daughter of the late John PATTINSON,—much and deservedly respected by all who knew her.

In the City of Chester, on Monday last, Mr. Allinson CLARKE, wine and spirit merchant, aged 42 years. Mr. C. was the eldest son of Mr. CLARKE, Low Row, Bromfield, in this county. His urbanity of manners and kindness of disposition endeared him to a large circle of friends and acquaintance, by whom his death will be long and severely felt.

At Warnel Fell, Sebergham, Elizabeth EMERSON, aged 64 years—much respected. On Saturday, the 23rd instant, after a protracted illness, borne with Christian fortitude, Mary, the beloved wife of Mr. Wm. WATSON, of Cliburn, near Penrith, aged 29 years.

At Cockermouth, on Sunday last, John HODGSON, Esq., aged 49 years.

At Applethwaite, near Keswick, on Friday, the 22nd instant, of typhus fever, Dinah, wife of Mr. Simon GRAVE, aged 23 years.

At the house of her father (Mr. SAUL, of Green Row), on Thursday week, Rebecca, wife of Mr. J. C. SHAW, incumbent of Ennerdale, near Whitehaven.

At Whitehaven, on the 20th instant, Albert Septimus, son of Lieut. J. T. LAMB, R.N., aged four months and five days; same day, Mary, wife of Mr. Peter GIBSON, draper and sail-cloth manufacturer, aged 65 years.

At Bongate, Appleby, on the 25th instant, Elizabeth, wife of Joseph NICHOLSON, aged 53 years.

At Crackanthorpe, near Appleby, on the 21st instant, Mr. William JAMESON, yeoman, aged 68 years. The deceased was much and deservedly respected by a large circle of friends and relatives; and his death will be felt by a great many of the industrious poor in the neighbourhood.

At Scroggbank, near Appleby, on the 22nd instant, Mr. Thomas BAINBRIDGE, farmer, aged 63 years,—much respected.

At Langton, near Appleby, on the 27th instant, Mr. William BRASS, yeoman, aged 96 years. His kindness towards his neighbours, relatives, and friends, gained him that respect which will ever be remembered.
