 At Crosscanonby, on the 30th ult., by the Rev. J. DONALD, Mr. William OSTLE, banker, to Elizabeth, only daughter of John INMAN, Esq., both of Maryport; Mr. John PINK, to Miss Elizabeth CLARK, both of Maryport. 

 At St. Nicholas's chapel, Whitehaven, on the 29th ult., by the Rev. John JENKINS, John WULFF, Esquire, of Ballaughton House, Isle of Man, to Elizabeth, sister of Mr. THOMPSON, surgeon, Whitehaven.

 At St. Bees, on Thursday week, Mr. Joseph POWE, to Jane, daughter of Mr. POSTLETHWAITE, of Arrowthwaite, near Whitehaven. 

 At Templesowerby, on Wednesday week, Mr. Nesfield ROBISON, of Penrith, to Betsey, youngest daughter of the late Thomas DIXON, Esq., of the former place. 

 At St. George's, Hanover Square, London, on the 10th ult., by the Very Rev. the Dean of Carlisle, Sir Thomas WHITCHCOTE, Bart., of Aswarby Park, Lincolnshire, to Marianne, only daughter of Henry BECKETT, Esq., and neice of Sir John and Lady Ann BECKETT. 

Deaths.

 On Thursday last, at his lodgings in Castle Street, in this city, Mr. Alexander JARDINE, aged 71 years, a well-known and highly esteemed traveller in the periodical and number line of the book business through the north of England and a great part of the south of Scotland.

In the House of Recovery, lately, Joseph HEWITSON, aged 19 years.

In Drover's Lane, John LOGAN, aged 37 years.

At Cummersdale, since our last, Jane CRAGHILL, aged 55 years.

At Park Broom, near this city, on Saturday last, Mr. James STEEL, aged 93 years.

At Torpenhow, on the 27th ult., Mr. Joseph WATSON, son of the late Edward WATSON, aged 23 years—deeply lamented.

At Matterdale, in the parish of Greystoke, on the 26th ult., Mr. William KITCHEN, waller, aged 32 years, after a long illness, borne with much patience and resignation. He was an honest, industrious, and persevering young man; and although moving in a humble sphere of life, his amiable disposition and unassuming manners endeared him to all who knew him.

At Penrith, on the 1st instant, Mrs. Elizabeth PATRICKSON, widow, aged 78 years.

At the Ship Inn, Allonby, on the 18th instant, after a few days illness, Mrs. JACKSON, relict of the late Mr. JACKSON, of Newcastle.

At Maryport, on the 30th ult., Mr. Francis GUY, schoolmaster.

At Keswick, on the 26th ult., Mrs. Sarah PEARSON, advanced in years.

At Workington, lately, Mr. Jackson TODD, aged 66 years, and Mrs. Elizabeth DOWNEY, aged 33 years.

At the house of Mr. James GIBSON, Waterloo Terrace, Whitehaven, on Tuesday week, Miss STEPHENS, aged 26 years.

At Whitehaven, on Monday week, aged 15 years, Fletcher, son of Mr. HODGSON, tailor.

At Egremont, on Saturday night last, Isabella, third daughter of Mr. Anthony STEEL, Middletown, St. Bees, aged 26 years.

At Appleby, on the 20th ult., Fanny WHITEHEAD, many years servant at the King's Head inn, aged 72 years.
