A special meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Schoolroom on
Saturday evening. The members present were Mr J Wilkinson, sen. (Chairman)
Messrs Gill, Graham, Simpson, Sission, White, Wilkinson, with Mr Beck
(clerk) and Mr Bell (district councillor)-The meeting was called for the
purpose of considering what steps were to be taken for raising the sun if
£20 to meet £175 given by the District Council for the reduction of the
gradients on the Crabtree and Thrushbank Brows and other improvements
urgently needed.- Mr Simpson proposed that an earnest endeavour be made to
raise the amount and that the Clerk write to the various landowners asking
them to contribute:- Mr Sisson seconded, and the proposition was carried
new. Con. - The meeting then adjourned till March 27th
