On Saturday afternoon there was a large gathering of the members of the Rising Star Juvenile Tent, I.O.R., in a field at Howthgill, Frizington (kindly lent by Mr M. M. SPEDDING, Frizington Parks). In addition to the juvenile members the following adults were present : Bro J. LABOUREN (superintendent), Bro Wm. PARK (treasurer), Bro J. DICKSON (secretary), Bros M. JONES, J.B. HODGSON, R.J. COWEN, and the Rev W. NEWTON, Congregational minister, Cleator Moor. In order to furnish a photograph of the juvenile lodge for reproduction in one of the magazines, those present, about 130, were photographed by Mr McCABE, Frizington. Following this a very interesting address was delivered by Rev W. NEWTON, and on the motion of Bro HODGSON, seconded by Bro LABOUREN, a vote of thanks was accorded the rev. gentleman. Each child was then presented with a bag containing sweets and a banana, and the proceedings concluded with a series of sports. The youg folks enjoyed the proceedings immensely.
