SILLOTH WESLEYAN GUILD.

A very successful meeting to inaugurate the winter session of this Guild was held in the Wesleyan Church and Schoolroom on Friday evening. The Rev A. PHILLIPS, the junior minister of the Wigton curcuit, who resides at Silloth presided over a large attendance and gave a short address on the Guild work. The Rev L J HARVEY, of Carlisle, unveiled the charter and gave a very interesting lecture regarding it.
During the evening a duet was sung by the Misses MESSENGER and McVITTIE, and a quartette by the Misses ARCHER, and SCOTT and Messrs SUTTON and MASKELL.
After the meeting supper was provided in the schoolroom, and a large number of persons sat down to the tables, which were presided over by the following ladies :- Misses ELLIOT, MASKELL, SUTTON, S A ARMSTRONG, J ARMSTRONG, L ARMSTRONG, CHISHOLM, ARCHER, SCOTT and McVETTIE and Mrs SUTTON and Mrs MASKELL.
