We, "Manchester Examiner", are informed that MR. H. GARDNER, of Sion Hill, near Garstang, will come forward to oppose EARL BECTIVE in the representation of Westmorland.
MR. GARDINER is a retired barrister, and a large landed proprieter. He will give the Liberals an opportunity of measuring their strength with the Conservative party.
MR. GARDNER, if elected, will give MR. GLADSTONE decided support.
