SABBATH SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY
AT CROSBY VILLA
The annual services in connection with the Primitive Methodist Sunday School, Crosby Villa, were held on Sunday, when appropriate addresses were given in the afternoon and evening by the Rev. W. SPEDDING, Maryport, after which the usual pieces were recited and special hymns were sung by the scholars. The chapel was crowded and collections in aid of the school fund were taken at the close of each service. On Monday afternoon the scholars and teachers met in the chapel and marched in procession through the villages of Allerby and Bullgill, singing hymns on the route. Mrs. GIBSON, Allerby Hall, and Mrs. SAUL, Allerby Mill, each gave an acceptable donation to the school fund. On returning a plentiful supply of tea and cake was served to the children, who afterwards enjoyed themselves in the field close by, kindly lent by Mr. John walker, CROSBY. An excellent tea was also served to the parents and friends, who assembled in increased numbers as compared with previous years. A large quantity of the cakes and other necessaries were kindly contributed free of cost. The following ladies presided at the tables:
