A series of Primitive Methodist services  under the auspices of what is called "The Band Meeting" of "Saturday Night  Fellowship Meetings" was held on Sunday and Monday at Whitehaven. The town was  processioned morning, afternoon and night and in addition to the services in the  church open air services were held.

The morning and evening services were  conducted by Dr. DAVIES, who also preached. In the afternoon the old fashioned  "love feast" was conducted by Mr. E. HUNTER. The members of the band meeting  took the place of the ordinary choir and rendered  a number of old  Methodist hymns, and at night Mr. PARKER
gave one of these hymns as a  solo.  The open air services were conducted by Mr. T. CLEATOR and  addressed by various members of the Primitive Methodist
Church.
