Street,
a house occupied by Mrs. WARDLOW, wife of a Derby miner and owned by Mr.
Hayton HARDY, shoemaker, early on Friday morning.
The smoke was detected by a neighbour, Mrs. WARDLOW having been away from
home since the previous evening, and on investigation the kitchen was found
to
be in flames. The furniture was destroyed and the walls damaged, but the
fire
was prevented from spreading to any of the other rooms.
The damage to the house which, we understand, is not extensive, is covered
by insurance.
