Thursday. At five o’clock a public tea was provided in the Protestant Hall,
Duke Street, and was fairly attended. The following ladies attended the tables:

In the evening a meeting, presided over by Canon DALTON was held in the
Hall. Colonel LANGHOLM, of Lancaster, gave an affective address, and the Rev. A.
WARRIS, rector of Moresby, and the Rev. C. FOSTER also addressed the meeting.
During the evening Mr. G. HODGSON, the hon. Secretary to the association,
read a report which showed that the membership exceeded 100. The usual
complimentary votes closed the meeting.
