On Friday last, the ancient and picturesque village of Bardsea, near Ulverston, was the scene of much pleasing bustle and excitement, occasioned by the first stone of a new chapel, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, being laid at that delightful watering place.
The clergy of the neighbourhood, the architect, G. WEBSTER, Esq., of Kendal, and the Building Committee, arrived at Bardsea Hall about eleven o’clock, and went in procession to the church, where the stone was laid with a most imposing ceremony.
