John Stilling, farmer, of Dunnerdale, has been bound over to keep the peace for six months towards another farmer (William Long) in the sum of 20 pounds, and two sureties in 10 pounds each. The case was hard at the Ulverston Police Court, before R. Hanny Esq.. The threats are alleged to have had some reference to the complainant giving evidence in the sheep stealing case recently before the public. The Bench thought there was some reason in the application, and therefore bound the defendant over as stated.
