Christmas Tea Meeting.

The annual Wesleyan tea meeting was held on Christmas Day, in the Wesleyan Chapel, Newtown, Holborn Hill, when upwards of two hundred persons were present.  A number of young ladies belonging to the denomination presided at the trays.  After tea a public meeting was held, the chapel being crowded.  Mr. Ripley, of Ulverston, occupied the chair, and excellent addresses were delivered by the Rev. R. Kelly, Rev. R. W. Boynes, and Mr. Armstrong.
The financial report, which was very satisfactory, was read by Captain T. Rich.  The meeting was enlivened with several anthems by the choir, which were well rendered, and gave great satisfaction.
