Every one should have a collar about his dog's neck if he cares about his dog being stolen.   On Tuesday week, at the Guildhall, a man of the name of PLOWES, was charged with stealing a valuable Scotch terrier dog, the property of W. Rudston READ, Esq. It appeared that the dog when stolen had no collar with the owner's name engraved or written thereon, and consequently the offence was held not to constitute a felony.   The defendant, however, was fined, and, in default of payment, committed to the House of Correction.—Newcastle Advertiser.
