A POINTSMAN SENT TO GAOL. -- At Liverpool, on Friday, George EATON, who had been in the employment of the London and North-Western Company as a pointsman, was sent to gaol for six weeks for leaving the points of which he had charge at Stanley Station. A serious collision was narrowly avoided. The prisoner said he was ill at the time, and could not help it.
