On Saturday afternoon, while Station Streetwas fairly thronged with people
a horse came galloping along, evidently having just been released from a
conveyance. It rushed into a group of girls, Emily Barnes, Elsie Wardle,
Mary Watt, Lizzie Storey and Mary Mumberson, who were standing on the
pavement near to Mr R Hendersons shop, and knocked them down, but
fortunately without doing them further injury.
