THE LAMPLUGH NONAGENARIAN - Mrs Fanny THOMPSON, who resides with
her
daughter (Mrs Wm. TAYLOR) at Murton, completed her 95th birthday on
Sunday.
In addition to congratulations and hearty good wishes, she was made
the recipient of a number
of handsome presents. Her health continues to be
very good, and her faculties are simply
wonderful for one so old.
On
Wednesday last she paid a visit to Mill Ghyll Head (Mr A. SISSON's), walking
both
ways unassisted, the total distance being close on two miles. Mrs
THOMPSON has two sisters
yet living, one of whom Mrs TYSON, mother of Rev J.
TYSON, vicar of Ennerdale, is in her
99th year, and is residing in
Sandwith.
The other, who visited Mrs THOMPSON recently, is 85 years of
age.
