WHITEHAVEN Y. M. C. A.

A fraternal gathering was held at the Whitehaven Y. M. C. A. Rooms on Monday evening, when there were about 100 present, consisting of members from Whitehaven, Harrington and Workington.
Lieut.-Colonel G. DIXON, the president of the Whitehaven Association, presided, but he had to leave early as he was suffering from a severe cold, and Mr. R. RADCLIFFE, treasurer of the Association then took his place.
There was community singing, led by Mr. T. W. OGILVIE, the Divisional secretary, and an excellent concert, which was much enjoyed, was given by: -

During the evening a short address was given by Mr. T. WAUGH, president of the Whitley Bay Y. M. C. A., and was much appreciated.

At the conclusion of the concert Mr. W. COLLIS proposed a toast of “The Visitors,” which was responded to by Mr. W. TAYLOR, Harrington and Mr. J. JOHNSTONE, Workington.
