EGREMONT MINER INJURED.
Suffering from a fractured thigh, the result it is stated of an accident while following his employment in Florence Iron Ore Mine, Wm. HELLON, of 21, Park View, Castle Croft, Egremont, was admitted to Whitehaven and West Cumberland Hospital on Monday.

There was no business of public interest at the monthly meeting of the Cleator Moor Council on Monday night.

FELL INTO MILL RACE.

Yesterday, Tuesday morning, as Isabel FEARON, a middle aged employee at Messrs. HARRIS and Sons Mill, Cockermouth, residing at Main Street was reaching over a plank bridge, filling a bucket with water, when one of the planks gave way and she was precipitated into the icy water.
Fortunately she was seen and quickly brought out, and conveyed to the home of her brother, Mr. Albert FEARON, Main Street. She suffered from shock.
