BARCLAY, The Rev. John BARCLAY, minister of the Berean Church, Edinburgh. After enjoying a good night’s rest, and eating his breakfast as usual, he left his house in perfect health, on the forenoon of Sunday the 29th July 1798.

On his way to church, finding himself a little indisposed, he stepped into a friend’s house, asked a little water, of which he drank, and bathed his face; in the act of drying it, he sunk down on his knees, expressed a few words in prayer, and departed without a struggle or groan, in his 63rd year.
