TEMPORARY AUTHORITY.
 
 Mr. ATTER applied for the temporary transfer of the license of the Shamrock Inn, Riley Terrace, Cleator Moor, from Daniel TRAINOR to Moses POWER. - The application was granted.

WITHOUT A LIGHT.
 

 William TOOMEY, 20, miner, Whitehaven, was charged with riding a bicycle without a light, at Hensingham, at 11-5 p.m. on the 3rd inst.
 
 P. C. IRVING proved the offence, and a fine of 10s was imposed.

MAINTENANCE OF A SON.
 

 Supt. KELLY made an application to the Bench to grant an order against John FLYNN, dock labourer, Harrington, for the maintenance of his son, who was an inmate of a reformatory near Sheffield. He was sent on the 26th of last month. The defendant was a dock labourer, earning 30s a week, and had three children dependant on him.
 
 The Bench made an order of 2s a week, with costs.
