On Tuesday evening the committee of the Egremont Quadrille Class assembled at Mrs. PARKER’s restaurant for the purpose of presenting Mr. A. MANDELL with a small token of respect and regard on his leaving the country for South Africa.
Mr. W. T. COWAN at the request of the Committee took the chair, and in presenting Mr. MANDELL with a gentleman’s dressing case, said he was sure he voiced the sentiments of every member when he said they all regretted Mr. MANDELL’s departure from amongst them. The little present would be accepted not so much for its intrinsic value, but as a token of the good fellowship that existed among them.
 Mr. MANDELL feelingly replied.
