THE ODDFELLOWS.
The annual concert ball of the Maryport Oddfellows promises to eclipse
any of their previous efforts. The artists already engaged for the concert
include:
Miss. Henrietta TOMLINSON, soprano
Miss. Marianne TOMLINSON, contralto
Mr. J. J. SIMPSON, principal tenor of Ripon Cathedral
Mr. H. RICKARD, bass, from the Schubert Society Concerts, London
Mr. Frank WESTON, principal violin celloist of the Liverpool Philharmonic
Society.
Mr. W. J. SMITH, Maryport, will be the accompanist.
Miss. H. TOMLINSON is accounted one of the best sopranos in the North of
England, and Mr. WESTON is said to be only inferior to PLATTI.
The Committee are also determined to make the ball the leading event of
the season in the district.
