JOHNSTONE - MACDONALD
 
 
    The last of a family of 17, to marry, Mr. Thomas JOHNSTONE, son of Mrs. and the late J. JOHNSTONE of Fleming Street, Maryport, went to the altar on Easter Monday. His bride, Miss. Jessie MACDONALD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. MACDONALD, of 3, Gavel Street, Maryport, is one of ten children.
 
    The ceremony took place at the Maryport Presbyterian Church, the Rev. J. H. TUDHOPE officiating.
 
    The bride's father gave her away. Her uncle Mr. T. ORR, was groomsman, and Mr. John JOHNSTONE, the bridegroom's brother, was best man.  Miss. Jennie MACDONALD, the bride's sister was her only attendant.
 
    The bride was a very pretty picture in a long gown of beige lace and georgette, with a picture hat of the same materials. Her bouquet was of arum lilies and cream tulips, with Stars of Bethlehem intertwined in the long trailers of asparagus fern.
 
    The bridesmaid's dress was ankle length and of eau-de-nil georgette. Her picture hat was of beige and green. She carried pink and white tulips and wore a gold bracelet watch, the gift of the groom.
 
    A reception was held at the bride's home.
