FLEMING - STOREY
On Saturday, at Holy Trinity Church, West Seaton, the wedding took place of Mr. Joshua Bowe FLEMING, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew FLEMING, of 7, Mountain View, Harrington, and Miss. Ethel STOREY, second daughter of Mr. amd Mrs. John STOREY, of North Side. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a blue hat and coat, grey stockings and black court shoes, and carried a silver backed prayer book, the gift of the bridegroom.
The bridesmaids, Miss. WILSON, Harrington, and Miss. Peggy STOREY, friend and youngest sister of the bride, were dressed in blue silk, with hats to match. The best man was Mr. DOBIE, brother-in-law of the groom.
The wedding breakfast was served at the bride's house.
The bride received a beautiful oak chiming clock from employees of the beehive Cooperative Society, Workington, where she has been employed as clerk for the past six years. The choir of Holy Trinity Church, of which the bride has been a member for some years (her father being choirmaster and the whole family closely connected since the church was built), presented her with a silver teapot and honey jar.
Many other useful and beautiful gifts testified to the high esteem in which the young couple are held in the district. They will reside in Harrington.
