WHIST DRIVE, SUPPER
AND PRESENTATION.
The annual whist drive, supper and dance, associated with St. Columba Church, Broughton Moor, took place in the Mission Hall, on Monday evening. There was a representative company for the whist drive, the winners of which were as follows:

The Rev E. W. SOMNER presented the prizes, which were given by: -

The provisions were generously provided by members of the choir. Messrs. Alf. HINCHCLIFFE and Joseph OSTLE boiled the water, and Messers. J. C. MARTIN and Thos. GRAHAM were door keepers.
For the dance the room was crowded. Music was supplied by the Savannah Orchestra and Mr. A. SIMPSON was M. C. A presentation was made to Miss. Dora FARISH, the late organist of St. Columba by the Rev. E. W. SUMNER, who spoke of Miss. FARISH as a capable and willing organist, and of her valued services as a Sunday School teacher, and they wished her success when she entered Darlington College in September. Miss. FARISH suitably replied.
The evenings entertainment was organised and supervised by Mr. Thos. W. HODGSON, choirmaster.
