DISTINGTON SCHOOL MANAGERS.
The quarterly meeting of the Managers of the Distington Group of Schools took place in the council School, Distington, on Saturday evening, Mr. Herbert HUNTER presiding. There were also present: -

It was stated that Mrs. LITT, Distington School, had tendered her resignation and that Mrs. S. A. DIXON had taken her place.
Discussion took place as to Dyon School Water supply and it was stated that samples had been taken for analysis. - On the motion of Mr. KITCHIN, seconded by Mr. ALLEN, it was decided to notify the authorities that the water was not satisfactory and ask for a supply from the Housen Fell main.
The attendance for the last quarter was reported to be 90.35 per cent., the decrease being due to epidemics. The average for the past year was 91.42. At Distington the attendance was 92.1 per cent.
A complaint as to the condition of the school sanitation was dealt with by the managers an a manner to ensure satisfaction in the future.
