As the train of carriages was leaving Greenhead on the railway for Carlisle, Mr.
G. ROBINSON, the guide, attempted to go along the carriages by jumping from one
step to the other, when his foot slipped, and he was thrown under the train,
which passed over him, cutting one leg off and so injuring the other as to make
amputation necessary. He lies with slight hopes of recovery. - Carlisle Journal.
