         COURT OF KING'S BENCH, WESTMINSTER, NOV. 21.

                          THE KING V. WILLIAM GIBSON.

This defendant, convicted at the last Cumberland Assizes for an assault on
Revenue-officers, upon the border of Scotland, was brought up for judgment. The
assault was of an aggravated nature; but as the defendant had suffered six
months' imprisonment, the Court sentenced him to four months' imprisonment in
the House of Correction at Carlisle; and to find security for his good behaviour
for five years, himself in 40L. and two sureties in 20L. each.
